Course Description

The object of this course is to teach the students of the Contemporary Regions of the Eastern Hemisphere. The students will be learning about contemporary regions by studying the world through four major topics: History, Politics, Geography, and Economics. A variety of activities and assignments will be used, as well as individual and group projects designed to assess the studentsÕ understanding of the major concepts.

 


Learning Objectives


The students will be learning about the history, politics, geography and economics of the Eastern Hemisphere through the study of the following topics:

Cultures of the Earth

EarthÕs Natural Resources

Physical and Human Geography of Europe and Russia

Regions of Europe and Russia

Physical and Human Geography of Africa

Regions of Africa

Physical and Human Geography of Asia

Regions of Asia

Physical and Human Geography of Australia and Oceania
