5th Grade Course Discription
5th grade Spanish program promotes second language learning through speaking, listening, writing and reading opportunities.The program enhances understanding of divere Spanish-speaking cultures around the world. Students meet twice a week for 50 minutes.
Course Objectives

*Use Spanish phonetic and Spanish whole language approaches
*Participate and learn Spanish language skills through a variety of games, songs, bilingual stories, cooking, prayer participation in church, art projects and role-playing
*Investigate Spanish holidays such as Days Of The Dead and Las Posadas
*Research Mexico and major cities in Mexico
*Travel to a local Spanish restaurant, order authentic food and dialog with native speakers of Spanish
