Course Description

Fourth grade students will visit the computer lab on a weekly basis. Fourth grade technology is designed to develop computer skills and to reinforce other curriculum areas such as math, science, social studies, and language arts, using technology. Fourth grade students will learn to utilize technology as a tool to support the curriculum and individual learning needs.

Course Objectives

The 4th Grade Technology Student will

• Learn correct keyboarding skills

• Develop speed and proficiency at keyboarding

• Begin using keyboarding for word processing

• Learn correct vocabulary/terminology

• Learn to use the internet for research

• Learn critical evaluation of a website

• Learn web browser navigation techniques

• Develop research skills using World Book online
