Meet Mrs. Erin Mouat

Kindergarten

Mrs. Mouat has been teaching at St. Matthew’s since 2004 and this is the only school at which she has taught.  Now teaching kindergarten, she was the 2nd grade teacher for the first seven years here.  She received her BA from Carroll College in Helena.

Mrs. Mouat grew up in a family of teachers and always knew that teaching was what she too wanted to do.  ”It is such a fun and rewarding career.  I can’t imagine doing anything else.”   Now with a family of her own, Mrs. Mouat enjoys spending her free time with her family,  and reports that there is always something interesting going on at her house, as “life with a two-year-old is pretty exciting.”

The best part of Mrs. Mouat’s day is getting all the hugs from her kindergarteners, and hearing all the funny stories they like to share.  What she likes most about St. Matthew’s is that it is not like having to go to work each day, as “the people here truly have become my second family.  St. Matt’s is the Happiest Best Place on Earth!”
