Meet Mrs. Sherry Miller
Fourth Grade
Mrs. Miller has been teaching at St. Matthew’s for six years. She has a double major in Elementary and Special Education and holds a Master’s degree in Education (Reading Concentration), all from MSU Billings. Before St. Matthew’s, she taught for many years in Columbia Falls (kindergarten, first, third and fourth grades).
Teaching fourth grade now at St. Matthew’s, Mrs. Miller loves including community service as part of their school year. ”They are at an age where they love to serve – raking leaves, caroling at nursing homes, working at thrift stores and the Humane Society.” Another favorite fourth grade activity of hers is the Hooked on Fishing program through Fish, Wildlife and Parks.
Mrs. Miller believes it is a privilege to work with children, to serve as a positive role model in their lives. The best part of her day is when she sees the students excited and loving to learn. What she likes most about St. Matthew’s School are the Friday morning masses together, and, through her teaching, connecting learning with spirituality.
