Meet Mrs. Shannon Anderson

Kindergarten

Mrs. Anderson has been teaching at St. Matt’s since 1996, except for a two-year stint at Edgerton. Feeling blessed to be a teacher of K-2 for 33 years, she has also taught in Missoula and Drummond as well as Kalispell in both public and private schools. She received her BA from Carroll College.

Mrs. Anderson grew up with six sisters and loves time to connect with her family. She has been married to husband Dan for 30 years and happily describes him as her best friend. She also enjoys hiking, biking, knitting and baking. And of course being Irish. That said, her favorite saint is St. Patrick. Other favorites for Mrs. Anderson include blue and green for colors, and for snacks: popcorn and cookie dough.

Her reason for being a teacher is simple: “I LOVE kids!” She says the best part of her day is waking up. “I love the people I work with! They are dedicated to their profession, they love kids, they have a sense of humor. Also, what I like most are the amazing families that make up our St.Matthew’s School family!”
